When you choose to allow it, CatDex can associate a location with a discovery and show it on your map. Location is optional and never collected in the background.

Photos, location, and accounts deserve clear rules. CatDex requests only necessary permissions, does not use continuous location, and does not sell personal data.

What is CatDex?

Does CatDex always identify breed and coat correctly?
No. Analysis is assisted and can be wrong. You can correct details before saving.
Do I need an account?
You can begin locally. Some cloud features require an account and depend on the installed app configuration.
Is location required?
No. CatDex works without location and does not track location in the background.
Are my photos published?
No, they are not published as social content. They may be processed or securely stored to provide requested features.
How does analysis work?
A server-side function inspects visible traits and returns an editable suggestion. It is not veterinary advice.
Are cards generated automatically?
Generation only starts after an explicit action and may require a connection.
Is CatDex free?
A free experience with limits and advertising is planned where available; current terms are shown in the app.
How does Premium work?
Premium can expand usage and remove advertising. Prices and renewal are managed by the store.
